Eleven masters. One table. One moment across time.

The Council is a monumental mixed-media original — 48" × 77¼" — bringing together art history's most transformative visionaries at a single dreamlike gathering. From left to right: Leonardo da Vinci holds his palette and brushes beside the inscription "Sapere Vedere / Vedere è Conoscere" (To know how to see / To see is to know). Salvador Dalí dangles his iconic elephant on strings above a melting clock. René Magritte presides with his green apple — scattered papers below read "Ceci n'est pas une pipe." Picasso appears in cubist mask and sailor stripes, his quote floating overhead: "Je ne cherche pas, je trouve." Frida Kahlo anchors the center in flower crown and rebozo. Van Gogh paints beside her — his brushstrokes cascading as living water, the starry swirl igniting the sky above. Rodin's Thinker watches from the background in pencil. Kandinsky's geometric forms orbit the composition. Georgia O'Keeffe emerges in dark hat and pearls, magnolias blooming behind her. Andy Warhol stands at the edge, glasses catching shadow, Campbell's Soup can at his side. And at the bottom — Jean-Michel Basquiat, present but absent: a paint-splattered crown hoodie, the body gone, the mark remaining.

Beneath the table, koi swim through roots and ruin. A bull skull rests in dark water. The masters' own words are scattered across torn papers: "L'art est un mensonge qui nous fait réaliser la vérité," "Surviving the storms that were never supposed to be mine," "the chaos was the catalyst."

Painted in acrylic, oil, and mixed media on canvas. One of a kind. This is Rita Irvin's most ambitious original to date — a love letter to the lineage.
